On the city streets we often overlook, countless animals are waiting for help.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Behind the bright city lights, on the cold pavement and in dark alleyways, numerous animals fight a difficult battle for survival every single day. This is the sad reality in our beloved cities of Vancouver and across Canada.<\/p>\n

The Reality Told by Statistics<\/b><\/h2>\n

According to data from Humane Canada, tens of thousands of homeless animals are taken in by shelters across the country each year. In British Columbia alone, the BC SPCA cares for over 15,000 injured, abandoned, and abused animals annually.<\/p>\n

A significant number of these animals face severe health issues. Malnutrition from prolonged starvation, untreated diseases, and serious injuries from traffic accidents are an all-too-common reality for an animal on the streets. These small creatures desperately need professional medical treatment and warm care, but far too many lose their precious lives due to practical limitations and public indifference.<\/p>\n

Our Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n

This is where BC Animal Rights Hub<\/b> comes in. We are a non-profit organization founded by students from Saint Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in North Vancouver<\/b>. Our mission is to provide a new chance at life for the most vulnerable animals in our city, especially those who are sick and injured. Through fundraising, we focus on these core activities:<\/p>\n

    Professional Medical Support:<\/b> We fund the costs for emergency procedures, surgeries, rehabilitation, and medication to help homeless animals recover their health.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Safe Shelter & Care:<\/b> We ensure that animals have a safe, clean environment where they can focus on healing during their treatment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Finding Forever Homes:<\/b> We support the adoption process so that recovered animals can find loving, permanent families and never have to wander the streets again.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    BC Animals Rights Hub launches a movement to support veterinary emergency care for injured wildlife. Through fundraising and community partnerships, we’ll provide financial assistance to clinics and rehabilitation centers, ensuring hurt wildlife get the care they need without putting an undue financial burden on those who save them. Looking ahead, we plan to expand our efforts to provide food and shelter to animals in need, uniting a passionate community and building a robust network of support for all creatures. Our core mission is to protect animals in the blind spot\u2014those that are abused, neglected, or ignored\u2014and to spread awareness of their plight.
