President/Founder

Minseok Kim

My name is Minseok Kim. I am the founder and president of the British Columbia Animal Rights Hub. As someone who has always loved being around animals, when I first heard about animals suffering from neglect or abuse, I decided to step up and make changes within my community. My experience volunteering at a vet clinic showed me first-hand how animals often suffer for many different reasons, both physically and emotionally. Of course, most of the animals arrive at the clinic in the arms of their loving owners. However, occasionally we admitted some animals that were lost and alone in the world. Some of them had been deliberately abandoned, abused, or simply no longer welcome. My goal through this organization is to provide life-saving medical care to at least some of them, and deliver a strong social message that animals matter and deserve treatment regardless of their owners’ status. I hope our fundraisers and newsletters will generate funds to finance such treatments and spread awareness across BC. I believe in the potential for British Columbia to become a leading light in animal welfare, and I will dedicate myself to making that a reality.

MA/Executive

Cristian Rogers

Hello, my name is Cristian Rogers. I’ve always had a deep passion for animal welfare, which was an interest that led me to co-found the BC Animal Rights Hub. With my current role as an Executive and Marketing Advisor, I help guide our organization’s vision and strategy while staying focused on the values that brought us here. Our mission is to encourage the protection and rights of animals, both domestic and wild, throughout British Columbia. Over time, I’ve become increasingly aware of the complex challenges animals face in daily life, from habitat destruction and human invasion to widespread neglect and unfair treatment. British Columbia’s rich animal diversity is something to be blessed by, yet it’s constantly under threat from our environment and even people. The growing tension between expanding cities and the natural habitats of animals like bears, dogs, and coyotes is an important issue that cannot be ignored. At BC Animal Rights Hub, we focus on raising awareness, educating the public, and striving towards a meaningful, long term change. We believe that true animal protection goes beyond crisis response, it’s about building systems and communities that value coexistence and compassion. Through our advocacy campaigns, and local events, we’re working to develop a culture that respects and protects all animals. As one of the founders, I’m deeply committed to ensuring our organization remains a strong, consistent program for animal welfare and environmental responsibility across British Columbia.

Dir. Media

Ivan Misola

Hello, I am Ivan Misola. I’ve had a personal interest in animal welfare since I was young. This interest saw me co-found BC Animal Rights Hub, where I now serve as Media Director. In this role, I am committed to telling the stories of animals, increasing awareness, and utilizing media to give a voice to the voiceless. In British Columbia, abundant and varied wildlife is continually imperilled by human actions, habitat destruction, and environmental change. The struggle between increasing urbanization and the natural habitats of animals such as bears, cougars, and coyotes has reached a crisis point. Too often, these animals are portrayed as pests or dangers when, in truth, they are fighting to survive in ecosystems that once belonged to them. At BC Animal Rights Hub, we seek long-term, sustainable solutions for both communities and animals. Through campaigns, community initiatives, and educational programs, our goal is to change perceptions, helping people see animals as opportunities instead of obstacles in our shared landscape. As Media Director, my job is to emphasize these points in compelling ways—whether by crafting campaigns, creating awareness, or expanding our online reach. We recognize that supporting animals goes hand-in-hand with supporting the environment. Together, we can advocate for better policies, forge meaningful change, and foster a movement of compassion for generations to come. That dream motivates me every day, and I feel honored to be part of a cause striving for a future where humans and wild animals coexist peacefully.
